Wedding Favors: Gifts Your Guests Will Love

When it’s time to plan your wedding, you want to create an experience that guests will enjoy and remember. Long after the dance music stops, the cake is gone and the open bar is closed, you want to leave your guests with a fun memento to take home with them. Although some people may love knickknacks, others are more likely to throw away a wedding party favor that’s not useful. The more creative, personalized or practical your wedding party favor is though, the more likely guests will be to keep it. Here are some wedding favor ideas that will inspire you to send guests off with a gift that keeps on giving.

Green Wedding Favors

Guests always appreciate an edible gift, especially if it’s something they can use time and again. Consider setting up a loose leaf tea bar, with different types of tea they can brew at home, such as chamomile or peppermint. Vanilla extract is another great wedding favor idea, as they can use it for recipes they made throughout the year. You can even attach a recipe to the vanilla extract bottle, such as one for a dessert you served at your wedding. Guests with a green thumb might also enjoy receiving something they can plant in their own backyard, like flower seeds.

Wine & Spirits

Guests who want to keep the party going will celebrate when they receive a wine-themed party favor. For those who are of legal drinking age, consider a mini wine bottle with a custom wine label. The label could feature an engagement photo of you and your fiancé, along with playful text such as “Anthony and Irene: The perfect blend.” Another creative wedding favor could be a wine stopper that’s related to your wedding theme. For a travel-themed wedding, for example, you could give guests a globe wine stopper.

Practical Wedding Favors

Everyone enjoys a thoughtful gift, especially one that makes their lives easier. If you’re hosting a beach wedding, leave out two pales of flip-flops (one for guys and one for girls) for guests to take and wear during the reception. They’re a perfect way to set the tone for a fun outdoor venue and encourage guests to loosen up. For a more formal setting, matches or a scented candle are useful wedding favor ideas that can still be creative. You could feature a cute tagline on the match box such as, “Jolene and Milo: The perfect match.”
