Real Bride Stories

Tradition is the name of the game when it comes to weddings for so many brides! And vows are no exception. But that doesn’t mean you have to totally play by the rules when it comes to saying your I Do’s. From romantic to classic, here are some of our favorite ways to make it official!

1. Channel your inner Shakespeare and go down the poetry route! When your officiant turns it over to you, recite a romantic poem. This can be something you’ve written on your own or a verse you’ve always loved. Think of the classics you love, and give them a fresh new feel when reworded in your own tone.

2. Insert favorite lyrics here! There’s a reason love songs are so popular. Maybe it’s that song you consider “yours” or just a tune that reminds you of your other half. Sometimes if you’re having trouble finding the words, music says it best. Frank Sinatra, Ed Sheeran, The Beatles, the list goes on!

3.  Steal a page from your parents or grandparents if they personalized their vows! Nothing says traditional romance like the love stories that came before you.  Even just a small passage or a line or two will be super meaningful. Plus, there won’t be a dry eye in the house!

4. Keep it classy and classic! There is something incredibly romantic and sappy about knowing your solidifying your marriage in a sacred and timeless way. There will be plenty of opportunities to personalize your special day from food to flowers to décor, so no sweat if you want to stay true to traditional I Do’s.

No matter which way you say it, it’s happily ever after for sure!
