Real Bride Stories

Sometimes the beauty of a gown all comes down to the details. And one detail we can’t get enough of is the art of the illusion. Elegant and whimsical, this sheer trend has caught on quickly! Maybe it’s the way it plays a trick on the eye but this is one ruse we don’t mind a bit!

The Illusion Sleeves

An illusion sleeve gives you beautiful adornment while also covering up a bit of skin. The Reagan nails romance with a gorgeous sweetheart neckline and dreamy delicate beading along the arms. Beaded embroidery that ends in a poetic draped sleeve is boho and beautiful on the Madonna gown. With no shortage of sparkle or lace, the Lourdette ballgown, completes its classic satin look with dramatic embellishments all over the illusion sleeves.

The Illusion Neckline

For brides looking for a bit of extra support, the illusion neckline can be both beautiful and practical, all rolled into one gorgeous dress. While the sheer material provides full coverage, the eye catches only the embroidery and glints of shimmer and sparkle.  We love the high neck bateau style of the Desert Dreams Ruth gown, with a peekaboo slit down the center. Traditional and sultry tied perfectly together. Dainty is the name of the game for the Martha gown’s invisible off the shoulder and plunging neckline. Topping it off are floral appliqués that create lush romantic cap sleeves.   Proving illusion really works with all styles, the Luna dress features a halter illusion neckline with intricate lace appliqués, a fun contrast to the crisscross back straps.

The Illusion Back

And of course where would we be without the ever alluring illusion back! Like a true desert goddess, the A-line Ronan gown stuns with simplicity. Soft tulle, a sheer train, and a crystal beaded waist are effortlessly beautiful. But the frosted Alencon lace appliqués and covered buttons running down the sheer illusion back, take our breath away. It’s hard not to get lost in the decadent glitz and glamour of our fit and flare Margot gown. The corset style illusion back is the cherry on top of this beaded beauty. The Maritza’s completely sheer illusion back adorned by only covered buttons and speckles of sparkle is just one of the many dazzling details on this billowy ballgown. Swoon!
