Real Bride Stories

Weddings are a sweet chance to celebrate your love, and they’re also great for enjoying a sweet treat too!  We’re always a fan of the staple wedding cake, but for something so tasty, we say the more the merrier. Luckily with so many creative dessert ideas out there, there’s no need to save the best for last. We’ll take one of each, please!

Black Tie Buffet

If you’re a fan of tradition, but looking to jazz things up, a wedding cake probably feels like a must. So don’t fight the urge to create a gorgeous multi-tiered confection. Instead, just add some decadent touches to it. Edible sparkle pearls make a dazzling trim around each layer. Use a combination of gold leaf and satin ribbon for a fancy twist on the classic white fondant style.  For any non-cake lovers (hard to imagine but it’s true!) we love a buffet of extra goodies. Go for an array of chocolate-dipped strawberries, glitter glazed donuts, tuxedo decorated cake pops, and glass spoonfuls of chocolate pudding and cream.

Farm Fresh and Fruity

We’re all about the natural vibe for the rustic chic wedding, so it should be no exception for the final course of the night! Tap into all the deliciousness the local area has to offer to draw inspiration for your decorations and flavors. If you’re sticking with a cake, go for an infusion of fruit, like a chocolate raspberry filling. Add a whimsical green ivy pattern to reflect the organic energy of your venue. For any couple opting out of the cake idea altogether consider doing wedding pies instead! Find a nearby farm that can handle a large order, and pick a few different flavors that will be in season. And if you want both, how about mini pies and a scoop of ice cream to serve in addition to your cake!

Beachy Bites

One of the best parts of a beach wedding is enjoying the outdoor setting from start to finish. So why not play off the bonfire beachy theme and serve a gourmet twist on s’mores! Add a caramel, butterscotch, or chocolate drizzle to offer a bit of variety. For a sandy inspired cake, fondant in the shape of flip flops, seashells, or fish will all do the trick. Other easy and small treats to consider are brownie bites, nautical shaped cookies, and mini cupcakes.

Sugary Sleek

For the modern chic wedding, go with a simply beautiful design. A round tiered cake with a thin layer of pale frosting and delicate decorative flowers will do just perfectly. Everyone loves a sweet snack to end the night with, so what could be better than a candy bar! Color coordinate your display for an ultra-stylish look. Pale pinks or white hues look subtle, but most importantly still tastes delicious! This is one goody bag people will be sure to take on their way home!

Whatever dessert you decide on, know that what’s most sweet is the love you share with your partner!
