Rustic English Countryside Wedding: Morilee Real Bride Helen

They say you find the one and just know, that was the case with Helen and Dan. Amid lockdown, their story began by swiping right. It started with FaceTime calls leading to a romantic beach walk, where Helen’s adventurous cocker spaniel took the two on a wild chase. Dan, the hero, fought through brambles to try and rescue her puppy—ripping his pants in the process. Their love story unfolded seamlessly, with Dan giving her a key to his place only 2 weeks later, and Helen moving in fully shortly after that.

Hiking became their shared passion, with the pair conquering all 214 Wainwright hiking trails together in Enlgands Lake District. As they dreamt of marriage, the lakes always held a special place in their hearts. On their one-year anniversary, the couple hiked up to Alfred Wainwright’s cherished hill, Haystacks, where, amidst wind and rain, Dan took a knee and proposed! With a resounding ‘yes,’ they secured the venue for their dream wedding venue then and there.

When it came time for Helen to find her dream dress, she knew she wanted a ‘boho princess’ look to complement the couple’s rustic barn venue. After visiting a dress store that stole her heart, The Wedding Wardrobe, the bridal consultant surprised her with a gown that had just arrived, our Devon dress, style 6966. She knew it was the one when her mum welled up in tears seeing her in the dress. Helen decided to keep her wedding dress a secret from everyone else, including her bridesmaids.

Helen walked down the aisle wearing our Devon wedding dress, a fresh and feminine A-line gown with beautiful details. The halter bodice features illusion detailing and delicate floral embroidery that gives the gown a fairytale feel. The double-banded waist elegantly emphasized her figure, while the open v-shaped back was absolutely breathtaking.

Nestled in England’s rolling hills, Helen and Dan found the perfect spot to say ‘I do!’ The two had their ceremony at New House Farm in Lorton; a venue that perfectly encapsulated their dream of a barn wedding. The fusion of rustic charm with a chic aesthetic was a perfect blend of their styles. Against a backdrop of incredible panoramic views and tranquil countryside, New House Farm became not just a venue but a special space where the couple exchanged their vows, marking the beginning of their forever.

There were so many memorable moments from Helen and Dan’s wedding day! Helen shared that she waited until the morning of her wedding to reveal her dress to her bridal party. Their expressions were priceless and will be cherished in photos for years to come. Helen describes her dress as the talk of the day, defying everyone’s expectations. While many guests anticipated a fitted gown, it became clear that this ethereal dress was the only choice for her fairytale moment.
