Renewing Your Vows

Whether it’s five, fifteen, or fifty years later, it’s always a good time to tell your one and only that after all these years you’re still swooning! Having a vow renewal can be the perfect excuse for a long-awaited romantic vacation, a reason to gather all your nearest and dearest, or to take a stroll down memory lane. From big blowouts to intimate celebrations, there’s no denying how romantic saying “I Do” can be, again!

Make a list of all the things you wish you had done differently the first time around.  Now pick the ones you’re still gushing over, and see how you can make them work during your renewal! Use this as a chance to take some memories from your first wedding and blend them with a few new ones! Maybe you get a new setting for your wedding band or get your original rings engraved.

If kids have joined the picture since you first made it official, let them join in on the fun! An easy way for them to take part in the festivities is with a speech or a song. Or think about how cute they could be as your flower girl and ring bearer!

Go big or go small, the choice is yours! When you first tied the knot you may have had a tighter budget to work with. This could be a great chance to throw a fancy extravaganza if you’re able to now. On the flip side, this is also a fabulous time to keep things tight with your inner circle.  Recommitting to each other doesn’t necessarily need all the fanfare. Just the ones you love surrounding you!

One of the most important parts of a wedding, for the bride, is her wedding dress. A vow renewal gives you a chance to find a second dream dress, or maybe even your first if your initial dress wasn’t “the one.” For the brides who want the sparkle they didn’t get the first time around, a gown like Alessandra is no short on shine and the crystal beaded ball gown, with a romantic off-the-shoulder neckline, is a great choice! For the more mature brides, who may want something simpler, dresses like Brianna, in elegant crepe with a detachable chiffon shoulder drape, or Blanche, a modern classic with a vintage touch.
