Morilee Featured Bride: Kimberly

This long-distance love is one for the books! Kimberly met her future husband, Drew, while in Michigan. Originally from Florida, she couldn’t give up on their blossoming relationship and took the risk of moving to Michigan to be with him! On a trip back to Florida to visit her friends, Kimberly was surprised to find Drew down on one knee in the sand at New Smyrna Beach with all her closest friends and family surrounding them. Of course, she said yes!
Kimberly went dress shopping interested in long-sleeves gowns, but they weren’t giving her the look she wanted. Her dress consultant asked Kimberly to “amuse her” and pulled out our Lindsey gown for Kimberly to try on, as it was everyone’s current favorite dress in store. Kimberly knew this dress was the one the moment she put it on! She couldn’t help getting emotional when looking at herself in the gown. It was everything she never knew she wanted. Kimberly loved that the dress has such a unique color and lace pattern. She fell in love instantly and the dress made her feel absolutely confident!
Kimberly looked absolutely breathtaking in our romantic Lindsey dress! It wows with a lovely mixed patterned embroidery, intricately designed lace, plunging illusion bodice and sparkling beaded straps and waistband.
The couple got married at Manor at Fire Tower Hill in Lewiston, Michigan. A stunning scenic venue, Kimberly and Drew had an outdoor affair full of gorgeous greenery and a wonderful view overlooking the East Twin Lake. From the sprawling lawns to the stone accents, this venue is the epitome of rustic elegance! The dreamy setting was the perfect backdrop for their unplugged ceremony. The couple kindly asked their guests to put away their phones to be fully present and enjoy the moment with them.
There were so many special moments that Kimberly shared with us from her wedding! One was how she surprised her husband with a bagpiper. Drew grew up visiting his family cottage in Canada and would often listen to the bagpipers play there. He was so shocked that it brought him to tears! And in a touching memoriam, Kimberly wore his mother’s ring on their wedding day. She had passed away 8 years prior and Drew didn’t know her ring still existed. This sweet gesture was so very special for the couple.
As the sun set on the beautiful day, the couple reflected upon how truly magical it felt to celebrate their love surrounded by their closest family and friends. Kimberly said it was the best day ever!
