Real Bride Stories

Madison and Abby had a major romance! They met in college through mutual friends, while studying the same major. They kept it casual at first, talking and getting to know each other, but just before summer break their freshman year, they took it to the next level! It didn’t take long for Madison to realize that Abby was absolutely the one! During the summer before their senior year, they took a trip to Destin, Florida, and on the beach, at sunset, he wrote in the sand “Will you marry me?” When Abby saw it, she couldn’t believe it! She knew she has found her person, so, of course, she said yes!

When Abby went dress shopping she didn’t set any limits on herself. She tried on several dresses, but there was something about our Lizzie gown that she couldn’t get out of her head. So after putting it on for the second time, she knew it was the one! Abby felt fantastic in the gown, she didn’t want to take it off. Her bridesmaids all told her they loved it and seeing her in the dress brought her mother to tears.

Abby walked down the aisle in our Lizzie gown, a stunning sheath with beautiful bridal details! The crepe fabric hugs the body and intricate, embroidered appliqués cascade down from the v-neck bodice to contour the body. The best feature is the gorgeous keyhole back that leads to a dreamy lace petal train.

The couple got married at Stone Valley Plantation in Pleasant Hope, Missouri—250 acres of gorgeous countryside! With beautiful barns on the property, Abby and Madison were able to embody a beautiful rustic charm to their wedding with weathered timber and exposed beams. It helped to create a cozy and warm atmosphere for their big day.

Getting married during covid put a change in their plans, shrinking the guest list, but it helped to make the day all the more memorable! Abby’s favorite part of the day was reading personalized vows with her soon-to-be husband during their first look. It was a beautiful and intimate moment for the two to share. A close second was the father-daughter dance. Abby let her dad surprise her and pick the song they would dance to, and surprise her he did! When they reached the dance floor and started to sway she realized the song was actually a recording of her father singing, and he never sings she tells us. It was emotional for every guest there. For both Madison and Abby their wedding was incredibly special and a day they will remember forever!
