Law school is to thank for bringing this Texas couple together! After moving to Dallas, Jackson met Shannon’s roommate at a law school orientation. When he and a few other friends accepted an invite back to their apartment to hang out, Jackson and Shannon quickly became fast friends. But only a year later, this friendship blossomed into something much more!

A year into dating, Shannon suspected a proposal was coming when they had a trip planned to Beaver Creek, Colorado, a favorite vacation spot Shannon’s family had been going to since her early childhood. Jackson kept Shannon’s suspicions afloat all while secretly devising a different plan to surprise her! A week before their planned trip he stunned Shannon by proposing unexpectedly on a walk through Klyde Warren Park, followed by dinner at the spot of their very first date! And to top it all off, their Dallas friends and family were there to join in on the festivities.

Shannon’s search for her gown was what dress dreams are made of! She had her sights set on a classic style, with a long train and a fun back for a bit of a modern twist! With so many options to choose from, the Lizzie gown almost slipped right past her. But with some convincing from her bride tribe, once she tried it on, she never wanted to take it off! Between the flattering fit, traditional silhouette, and touch of sass, this was most definitely the one she had been waiting for!

From the gorgeous beaded embroidery on the delicate crepe fabric, to the exquisite sparkling open back, this sheath number is nothing short of breathtaking! The long appliquéd train and sheer sides make it easy to see why Shannon fell so head over heels!

For Shannon and Jackson’s Dallas love story, only a venue that captured the heart of the city would do for their big day. The Belo Mansion, a historic estate right in the heart of downtown was just what they had in mind! The manicured lawns were the perfect back-drop for incredible photos while gold and ivory décor filled the regal ballroom. Lush greenery and twinkling candles on the tables gave the reception a sophisticated finish!

Shannon and Jackson loved every minute of their celebration, but the chance to enjoy a dinner just the two of them, while their guests kicked off cocktail hour, felt especially intimate and special. A moment to cherish becoming husband and wife! A live band got the party started for everyone, glow sticks included! For a sweet treat, Shannon and Jackson chose a five-tiered confection with an understated floral design. This Morilee bride’s decadent Dallas affair was one for the books!
