Skylar and Holden’s love story started sweet and simple during the 7th grade, where a youthful connection blossomed into something deeper. She explains that even as a freshman, he couldn’t resist charmingly flirting with her in the hallways. By 2016, their journey officially began, defying all the doubts often cast on high school sweethearts. Skylar explains that their love story has been a dream ever since. Fast forward to September 2022, six years into their adventure, Holden, not usually the romantic type, pleasantly shocked Skylar with a proposal amidst mountainous landscapes and captivating waterfalls. The breathtaking scenery created the ideal setting for an unexpected and romantic moment shared by the two!

During Skylar’s quest for the perfect wedding dress, Josephine, Style 2518, caught her eye instantly; it was everything and more. She loved the fairytale feel of the dress, especially the boho touch of the bishop sleeves. The certainty that Josephine was “the one” struck when she found herself putting it on repeatedly—four times to be exact, surpassing every expectation. Each time she tried the gown on, she saw her fantasy coming to life! Skylar shares that she couldn’t get Josephine out of her mind, making it the dress of her dreams!

Skylar and Holden celebrated their wedding in the beautiful surroundings of Skylar’s family estate in Hornbeak, TN—a place that felt just right to them. The Old Samburg Gun Club, known for all things hunting, built a gorgeous and unique barn named The Gilded Lily. This beautiful barn was just one of the club’s diverse venue choices, setting the stage for a flawless wedding day.

There were so many special moments that it’s hard for Skylar to recount them all, but she shared a few with us. Some of the moments that stood out were the rush of butterflies she felt, the stomach-drop sensation of excitement, and overwhelming joy as she walked down the aisle, knowing that it would be the most amazing day for them both. At that moment, she could only focus on locking eyes with Holden. The memories of Skylar and Holden’s wedding day will be cherished through the countless beautiful moments they share.
