Real Bride Stories

The time has come! All of your searching, booking, and planning is officially behind you, because today is the day it all comes together! So how do you make sure your wedding day goes smoothly? Well for starters, get organized! Here’s our essential survival guide breakdown.

Emergency Kit

When it comes to hair, makeup, dress, and shoes, you definitely don’t want any last minute snafus, so stay prepared! If you’re using your own makeup, buy a second set of the most important products, in case anything goes missing. Have plenty of fashion tape and pins on hand so you have a quick fix to any unforeseen wardrobe malfunctions. Don’t forget to include a comfortable and easy pair of shoes to throw on during any down time when you’re ready to hit the dance floor!

Time for a Timeline

Between your bridal party, your family, and your vendors, there’s a lot to keep track of! Simplify the process by creating a timeline of the wedding day that includes all the times and locations where everyone needs to be. Send it out to anyone that’s involved a couple of weeks beforehand so there’s no confusion when your big day arrives.

Wing Woman

There’s no shame in asking for a little help! Assign a point person like your sister or best friend that can make sure things are going according to plan. They’ll be more than happy to make sure the gift bags were delivered, your gown is neatly hung up and steamed if need be, and the flower girl’s petals are ready to go. Teamwork makes the dream work!

But above all else, expect the unexpected. The truth is that with so many moving pieces, something is usually bound to go at least slightly awry. No need to sweat the small stuff though! If that flower arrangement ends up on the wrong table, or the ring bearer forgets the pillow, chances are no one will even notice. And you’ll be way too busy having the time of your life to worry anyway!
