Real Bride Stories

2024 is coming in hot, and with it comes a new slew of wedding trends that we know our brides will love. Wherever you are in your wedding planning process, you can take inspiration from these trending aesthetics, incorporating simple touches or extravagant styling. From soft and feminine details to bold splashes of color, these trends are certified fresh for the new year.

Bows made a big impact towards the end of 2023, and we don’t see them going anywhere in the 2024 wedding scene. This dainty and feminine detail can be incorporated in all sorts of ways from a classic hair bow, an embellishment on your shoes, or an unexpected cake. And nothing is more chic right now than a wedding dress with bows. From sweet belted bows to bow sleeves and oversized back bows, this delicate detail is more versatile than you think. A bow wedding dress can look both sleek and sophisticated or more romantic to match the popular ballet-core aesthetic.

Bold Colors

Neutrals are out and color is in. We’re manifesting 2024 to be a year of excitement and new opportunities, and brides want to bring this vision into their wedding colors. From pops of pink to sunny yellows, kelly greens, and cerulean blues, these vibrant colors bring positive vibes and a fun and fresh feeling to your big day. Embrace these bold colors in your wedding invitations, table settings, and florals to create an infectious atmosphere that your guests will remember. And don’t be afraid to add a splash of color to your wedding dress! Colorful embroidery is a fun way for your dress to make a statement too.

An Abundance of Florals

We know what you’re thinking, flowers at a wedding…groundbreaking. But we’re not talking about your average bouquets or centerpiece, we’re talking explosions of flowers. Dramatic, moody, romantic florals decorating all areas of your wedding. Abundant arches, dripping floral tablescapes, bold bouquets, and even full-floral ceilings; a heavy emphasis on florals will have a moment in 2024. Your dress is no exception to this trend. Embrace a bevy of botanical details on your gown, like 3D floral appliqués, floral beading, embroidered flowers, etc. for a wedding dress with flowers that’s truly unforgettable.

Retro Style

We all know that Pinterest is the place to be when planning your wedding, and they’re insights are second to none as to what’s trending. So when they released their 2024 predicted trend report, and we saw “Groovy Nuptials,” we knew we had to take note. Searches for Groovy Wedding were up 170% and Retro Wedding Theme 80%. This retro style, inspired by the free-spirited feel of the ‘70s, embraces disco details and bohemian vibes. Think invitations with contrasting colors–like oranges, pinks, and greens–funky florals, a dance floor straight out of Saturday Night Fever, and, of course, a disco ball or two. Your dress should look effortlessly boho in flowing silhouettes, relaxed fabrics, and botanical or crocheted embellishments to bring this groovy vibe to life.

Structural Elements

This trend might not seem as obvious as some of the others on this list, but we see structural elements making waves in wedding design. This architectural inspiration has a modern feel that’s perfect for brides wanting that “cool girl” aesthetic. Natural stone details, such as table numbers, bar signs, and chargers, create a unique play of hard and soft features that will make your wedding feel special. Embrace one-of-a-kind venues with clean lines and columns, or marble designs that bring the structural elements of your wedding to life. Structure applies to your wedding dress too. Think corsets bodices, clean lines, and stiffer fabrics–like satin and crepe–to add structural elements to your contemporary bridal gown.
