Liza and Ben’s romantic journey began at a New Year’s Eve party, where mutual friends introduced them, sparking a connection that would soon shape their future together. The two hit it off instantly through Facebook messages after the new year. However, things took a turn when Liza was unexpectedly hospitalized for three months due to an autoimmune disease, leaving Ben thinking she had ghosted him. Ben shared his tradition of visiting Denver yearly for the Broncos/Chiefs game, so when Liza recovered, they finally rekindled their connection, and Ben arranged a memorable date for the game during his next trip to Denver. Sparks flew, and the rest, she shared, is history!

Liza had always dreamt of a private proposal integrated into their daily lives. On one ordinary Sunday, Ben suggested a walk to the beach, something they loved to do since they lived only five blocks away. On their walk, Ben veered towards the dog beach, taking a detour with their dog, Greta. At that moment, Ben asked Liza to hold her leash. With the sun setting, Ben got down on one knee and asked Liza if she would spend the rest of her life with him. Liza, initially caught off guard, happily said yes! Only then did she notice Ben’s friend, Ilya, capturing the moment. Laughing with happiness, Liza realized Ben had planned the perfect surprise all along!

With no success elsewhere, Liza arranged to visit Amanda’s Bridal in Arvada, CO, with her mom and late aunt, where she finally found the dress she had been searching for. As she tried it on again, making sure she made the right decision, its perfect fit and unparalleled beauty left no doubt in their minds—it was the one! The wedding dress became hers thanks to her aunt’s surprising gift, and Liza will forever cherish the memory of saying “yes to the dress” with her late aunt.

Liza looked stunning as she walked down the aisle in our Faye designer wedding dress! Faye is all about timeless sophistication with a touch of sparkle. The couple celebrated their wedding at the Hillside Gardens & Event Center in Colorado Springs, CO. With its expansive 4 acres of beautiful lush gardens and awe-inspiring views of the Front Range and Pikes Peak, the venue exceeded all expectations, providing the perfect backdrop for their special day. With the garden’s beautiful grounds and aromatic smells, Liza shares that they will remember this day for years to come.

While Liza and Ben’s special day was full of moments they’ll never forget, Liza shared a few with us that stood out to her the most. Before the ceremony, they shared a sweet first look, with Ben feeling a bit nervous, which made the moment even more special. Their dog Greta surprised everyone by walking down the aisle first to AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” bringing laughter and a unique twist to the night. During their vows, Liza and Ben talked about their favorite times watching sunsets on the beach, making the moment even more emotional. Liza’s local ice cream shop’s VW van turned into a pop-up truck, which she explained was a total hit; their guests were so excited about the yummy surprise. Everyone danced as the night went on, showing how happy they were for Liza and Ben, making their wedding an unforgettable memory for the two.
