A chance encounter at a party was the beginning of forever for Samantha and Matt! Samantha’s older sister, Stefania, and Matt were both seniors in college who shared mutual friends. Stefania invited her younger sister to join her at a party, and it was there that Samantha met her future! She and Matt totally hit it off and have been together since.

When Matt decided to propose, he planned a romantic picnic for the two of them. Samantha thought they were just going for a casual trip to Canada’s wine country, but little did she know, Matt was pulling out all the stops to make this moment special. Strolling through the picturesque location, Matt stopped to look out at the water, then got down on one knee and asked Samantha to marry him! The moment was a blur for her, but Samantha will never forget bursting into tears, saying yes, and holding her new fiancée close!

It was a rollercoaster ride for Samantha to find her dream dress. After purchasing a gown, she knew in her heart that the dress she had chosen wasn’t “the one.” She then set out on her search again to find her dress come true! The moment came when Samantha saw our Luciana gown on a mannequin at the boutique she was visiting. Her mom and sister looked at the dress, then looked at her and exclaimed “That’s your dress!” It had everything she was looking for, from the silhouette to the delicate appliqués, a touch of sparkle, and major wow-factor with the detachable train. As soon as she tried it on, there was no going back, she and her family all began to cry because they knew she found the one!

The couple celebrated their big day at Casa Loma, in Toronto, one of the only true castles in North America! The beautiful venue offered them a one-of-a-kind wedding with both lush gardens and exquisite interiors. Samantha and Matt got exactly what they wanted, a unique experience that would wow all their guests! 

Samantha recalls the first moment she saw Matt that day—as she walked down the aisle. While he wasn’t in full-blown tears, she could see his emotions welling up, which words could never describe! She also shared how they took a moment to honor both of their grandmothers, by having a nonna-grandchild dance. It was the perfect opportunity to celebrate two important women, whom they are so close to! While there are many expectations for a traditional Italian wedding, Matt and Samantha decided to go against the grain. Samantha tells us how special it was to her to forgo some of the commonplace formality and truly enjoy being surrounded by the people she loved!
